Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures to ensure efficient patient care.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following safety protocols.
- Manage patient records and scheduling to maintain an organized workflow.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care for optimal health.
- Perform basic lab tasks, including taking impressions and preparing dental materials.
- Ensure a clean and welcoming office environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and answer questions.
- Stay updated on dental technology and procedures to enhance patient care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred not required.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with diverse patients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using dental software and managing electronic health records.
- Current CPR certification and willingness to obtain necessary licenses.
- Positive attitude and a team player who thrives in a collaborative setting.
